| The Department of Human Resources provides a variety of services to support the professional development of state employees:
The Summit - Center for State Employee Development is a statewide training facility offering courses in the spring and fall semesters in a wide range of subjects. A calendar and descriptions of courses available this semester are provided in our on-line course catalog. The registration form is also available on-line.
The Summit is also the site of the Supervisory Development Program and the Vermont Public Manager program.
Tuition Assistance for post secondary and/or graduate level courses, which are related to the employee's current job or other career related positions in state government, is provided under the collective bargaining agreements for classified employees in the Non-Management and Supervisory Bargaining Units. Note: Employees in the Corrections and State Police Bargaining Units are covered under separate programs and should contact their personnel officers for more information.
The Summit also hosts a conference center to provide convenient, low cost training and meeting facilities for state government.
