| The Supervisor's Development Program (SDP) is offered for individuals who are currently supervising within state government. Participation is normally reserved for new and experienced supervisors, however individuals not currently supervising may be considered if vacancies exist. Individuals who are not currently supervising may wish to explore other catalog courses such as Stepping up to Supervision.

A. SDP SEMINARS
Four seminars (2 consecutive days each except seminar 4 - three days), over a three-month period of time. Topic areas are listed above.
B. INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP)
Based on the result of a supervisory skills inventory, participants will design an Individual Development Plan (IDP) to supplement their classroom experience. The IDP will address a skill or knowledge base the participant has identified and wishes to develop within the SDP time frame.
C. TIME COMMITMENT
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day, for a total of nine days. Assignments due for each seminar will require approximately one hour per month. Work associated with the IDP will require 5 - 20 hours outside of class time, depending on the scope of the IDP.
D. GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Attendance at all seminars, courses, and completion of the IDP. REGISTRATION:
