| Tuition Reimbursement |
The Tuition Reimbursement Program provides financial assistance to classified State employees, who have completed original probation, for post secondary and/or graduate level courses. To qualify, courses must be related to the employee’s current position or other career-related positions in the State of Vermont. Courses must be taken at a properly accredited educational institution and proof of successful completion must be provided to the Department of Human Resources within three months of completing the course.
If the course is not related to your current job, you must complete a career plan, unless you already have one on file with the Department of Human Resources. Tuition Reimbursement applications and career plan forms are available from your personnel office or from the Department of Human Resources’ web page: Tuition Reimbursement.
For courses beginning between January 1 and June 30, applications must be submitted by U.S. mail and be postmarked no earlier than November 24 and no later than December 7. For courses beginning between July 1 and December 31, applications must be submitted by U.S. mail and be postmarked no earlier than May 25 and no later than June 7. For more information please go to: Tuition Reimbursement or contact Terri Tibbetts, Tuition Coordinator at 828-1287.
